The REAL Teaparty...

Once upon a time there was a man with a simple, but powerful idea. “Why don’t we just say that government should do only those things that the Constitution allows it to do”. This idea was wildly popular with the people for the Constitution had been slowly subverted since its inception and the liberties of the people trampled. The people flocked to hear this message of individual liberty and responsibility. The phrase “Freedom is popular” was born. The political establishment was not at all happy with the man or the message. They had worked so hard to divide the people into groups so as to control them for their own purposes, and now the people were uniting and demanding honest government and respect for the rule of law.
A couple of years later, a President came into power who was very popular. Though some of his policies appeared good and were well-intended, the subversion of the Constitution continued. The political establishment supported the President of course because he was effective at dividing the people back into groups, and allowing the establishment their control back.
The people began to organize and protest. They didn’t want to be divided any longer. They were tired of a government which had no accountability to the people. This made the political establishment nervous again and so they came up with a plan to trick the people. One of the political parties would do this by sending some of their members among the people, and mimicking the man who had the simple idea of following the Constitution. Many of the people fell for it. They even elected some of these establishment politicians who once they got into office returned to their old tricks of subverting the Constitution. Another political party would seek to racially divide the people in hopes that the movement would not continue to grow. The media strongly supported this idea and started attending the events of the people to find ways to misrepresent their movement.
The movement continues to this day, though it is infiltrated by one political party and misrepresented by another. It is time for the true champions of the Constitution of the United States to reclaim their place in the movement. It is time for every man, woman, boy, and girl regardless of their race or political party to stand shoulder to shoulder again and proclaim that WE the people demand an honest government that respects the rule of law. Will the REAL TEAparty please stand up?
